ABOUT US

Born out of the passion of two friends for walking in Sintra, in the West Coast of Portugal, walksintra aims to provide an unforgettable and unique holiday experience. Combining cultural and activity holidays, whilst adding the pleasure of close contact with nature, walksintra offers a week long holiday with an attractive program of guided walks through the region of Sintra; this unique corner of the world has been duly recognised by UNESCO since December 1995, when its cultural landscape was classified as World Heritage.

During their weekly stay, our guests will have the opportunity to participate in five magnificent guided walks, which will take them through the beautiful and ancient forest trails to visit palaces, castles, beaches and cliffs tops of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, a nature reserve created in 1994 and which now provides refuge to some 200 animal species, from small mammals to birds of prey, as well as reptiles, amphibians and freshwater fish.
